  • Crew Change For Team Holcim PRB

On Saturday afternoon Team Holcim-PRB released its crew list for the racing in Aarhus.

Benjamin Schwartz is joining the crew after Kevin Escoffier has decided to step down from the team for the remainder of The Ocean Race.

The rest of the sailing team is Yoann Richomme, Abby Ehler and Martin Le Pape, with Georgia Schofield as the on board reporter.

Escoffier is stepping away from the Race for personal reasons.

At The Ocean Race we respect the integrity of the team and the sport of sailing and agree with Kevin’s decision to step down as skipper from Team Holcim-PRB.

The sixth leg of The Ocean Race will be the shortest of this edition with 800 miles from Aarhus to The Hague. This three-day sprint is going to be very tactical for the crew of Holcim-PRB and the other three IMOCAs that will take off next Thursday, June 8.

Abby Ehler , which has participated in 3 stages since the departure from Alicante, will bring his knowledge of The Ocean Race and the IMOCA Holcim-PRB. Three sailors from the very demanding Figaro Beneteau circuit will share their expertise in coastal racing, tactics and confrontation with opponents. Yoann Richomme , IMOCA Paprec Arkéa Team skipper, double winner of challenging La Solitaire du Figaro and Route du Rhum -

    Destination Guadeloupe
title winner in Class40, joins the team for this stage 6. Benjamin Schwartz , who participated in Stage 4, will take on the role of Holcim-PRB skipper on this Stage 6. Finally, the talented Martin LE PAPE will be on board for his first ever stage of The Ocean Race.
