Furthermore, the yacht is the largest to date by Royal Huisman by volume (Athena is the longest with 90m including bowsprit – hull has a length of 79.25 m). This new one ... -

Electrek All Electric Ferry
The operators of the first all-electric ferry in Norway are starting to get some good data on the vehicle and it’s nothing short of impressive. They claim that the all-electric ferry cuts emission by 95% and costs by 80% compared to fuel-powered counterparts and the results are attracting customers. The ferry in question is called “Ampere” and it was put into operation back in May 2015 with the aim to reduce NOx and CO2 emissions, as well as noise pollution on the water. ... -

Every second, the phone checks if the beacon is not in the water and if the connection is not lost. Automatic alarm If an activated beacon detects water or loses its signal, the app will automatically sound an alarm within three seconds, clearly stating what happened; “Man overboard". The... -

Lois Sails Again!
Lois Lane made her 1st sailing event in quite some time last week,
entering in the RYC's Wednesday Night Beer Can regatta. Owner Tony Carr has spent the past 5 years putting in a bundle of time and money rehabbing the 1977 Wylie 40'
cold moulded IOR speedster, which, without his effort, would most certainly have ended up in a landfill.
Still a work in progress, Tony was happy as could be to finally get her rig installed earlier this summer... -
