  • The New Look Alameda Marina



    The Alameda Marina is not as you might remember it, most of the building have been razed
    and new construction is sprouting up...





    The docks on the east end, have been cleared out of vessels an the ramps at the west end for
    docks 7-8-9 and 10 are gone.





    The new seawall construction will begin soon





    The old Harbor Masters office is set to be torn down this week, and no showers are available
    at this point... There is a portable toilet trailer on the east side of building 19



    The temporary home of the Harbor Master is by where the Shilling Street Entrance used to be



    Parking is getting scarce!

      The FDNY freed a sailboat that had gotten stuck under the Roosevelt Island bridge on Saturday morning, officials said.

      A man was rescued by FDNY Marine units after the vessel’s mast got wedged in the steel work on the bridge at about 7:15 a.m., a spokesperson told The Post.

      In coordination with Department of Transportation bridge operators the boat was freed “with minimal damage,” according to FDNY.
