
UPDATE on Marin County grounded vessel: Contractors were able to recover diesel and other petroleum products from F/V Seastar,
but an undetermined amount was discharged from one of the fuel tanks that became compromised. There were no observed impacts to wildlife.
An excavator is set to demolish and remove the vessel from Kehoe Beach starting tomorrow.

Apparently, the captain of Seastar fell overboard and drowned, and during the time the boat was disabled,
local mariners in the vicinity offered to tow the vessel in, according to social media posts that cited that
the Coasties would not allow that to happen.
The good thing is that the boat grounded in a sandy area and not a rocky shoreline, so fuel spill was minimalized,
