Te Aihe Returns
Auckland, New Zealand - 26th May 2020 It is not so much a triumphant homecoming from Europe for the Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 ‘Te Aihe’- rather a low key but very welcome return in the dark hours of Tuesday morning having been in a state of transit since leaving the teams viaduct base on Sunday February 2nd. Its last sailing day on the Auckland harbour was January 15th. How the world has changed since that day due to COVID19. Since then Te Aihe, and 16 containers s... -

American Magic And Ineos Frustrated By Red Tape
NZ Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has done a magnificent job since taking office Two of Team New Zealand's rivals have expressed a growing frustration at the lack of information from the Government on an issue which could put New Zealand's hosting of the 2021 America's Cup in jeopardy. A Quarter Century Hence: The 1995 America's Cup Revisited
Black Magic (NZL 32) and Young America (USA 36) battle for position in the pre-start of the 1995 America's Cup As unbelievable as it may seem to those who took part or witnessed it, 13 May 2020 (14 May 2020 - New Zealand Time) will mark a quarter of a century since Team New Zealand in Black Magic (NZL 32) completed one of the most comprehensive victories in the history of the America’s Cup, winning all five races of the 1995 Cup match with margins as much as 4:14. It is one of thos... -

Shake Down Street
In September 2019, American Magic’s DEFIANT became the first AC75 to both sail and foil on the waters of Narragansett Bay, Rhode Island. Since then, the first of two AC75’s to be built for the U.S. America’s Cup Challenger has been in a “shakedown” phase, where the complex and cutting-edge systems have been tested and refined. Also part of this groundbreaking period has been the shakedown of the human element; the training of some of the world’s first AC75 sailors. American ... -

by PhotoboyAuckland, New Zealand - 20th February 2022 Some childhood dreams can become realities, others remain just that- dreams.
