Cup Finds Itself Homeless?
NZ Herald
By: Eduan Roos and Julia Gabel No final decision has been made about where the next America's Cup will be held - but it is highly unlikely that it will be in New Zealand. Team New Zealand CEO Grant Dalton on Tuesday night told more than 400 members of the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron (RNZYS) that it was extremely unlikely that an agreement with the Government to stage the next event on Kiwi waters would be reached, after more than three months of negotia... -

All Washed Up
Wonthaggi police were as stunned as mullets to discover a very strange vessel washed up at Waratah Bay last night. The barnacle-covered, unmanned boat had clearly travelled a long way before ending up at the quiet cove to the west of Wilsons Promontory. After a bit of research, it was revealed that the vessel, known as a ‘Saildrone’, is used for ocean mapping and scientific research. The California-based company launched three Saildrones from Bluff in New Zealand in 2019 on a mis... -

The Sands Of Time March Quickly
This boat just washed up on South Beach in Point Reyes. The occupants and a dog were airlifted off the coast last week I’ve been told. Not sure what happens next.

Shifting Boats Cause Ships Abandonment
The crew of the Dutch ship, Eemslift Hendrika, had to abandon its vessel late on Monday, seemingly after a cargo shift caused a heavy list.
Footage released by the Norwegian Rescue Coordination Centre shows some of the 12 crew members jumping into the ocean from the Eemslift Hendrika before being rescued by helicopter. Others were hoisted directly from the deck
Eight people were first evacuated, while the captain and three of the crew remained on... -

Gone Too Far?
This video was submitted by an anonymous person. The boat in the video had been anchored in Richardson Bay near Sausalito Calif. Onboard were one human occupant and one small pet dog. On April 2, 2021, the boat was towed to a dock with both occupants on board. At that point the massive police action you see here took place. Immediately after this video was captured and the occupant forcibly removed after gunfire by officers, and a fire erupted, the still-smoldering boat was... -
