The result was in doubt until the final moments of leg 6, with 11th Hour Racing Team along with Team Holcim-PRB and Team Malizia racing within shouting distance of each other during most of Sunday morning.

Whale Watching Adventure Gores Awry
SAN FRANCISCO — The U.S. Coast Guard and Monterey Fire Department responded to a report of a possible fire on board the 50-foot whale watching vessel Pacifica with 43 people aboard off Point Pinos, Sunday.
A Station Monterey 47-foot Motor Life Boat crew put the disabled Pacifica in tow and brought it back to Monterey. There are no reports of injury.
The cause of the incident is under investigation.

Envolee Reports From Bermuda 1-2 Shorthanded Adventure
The recently completed 1st leg of the biennial Bermuda 1-2 Race is completed. The singlehanded portion which departs Newport R.I. and finishes 635 NM later in the tropical waters of Bermuda. The Bay Area's own Nathalie Criou sailed an impressive race, finishing 2's in class and 3rd overall in a fleet of 25, which were primarily men.

Aarhus start - IMOCAs are underway in very light conditions - VO65s racing to The Hague
1850 local / 1650 UTC: According to the Race Committee there is 'zero' wind on the race course area at the moment. Therefore the second lap is cancelled and teams will be required to pass through the start line and the 'gate' between marks 1 and 2 before they are free to proceed onwards to Kiel.
