In post #14 it looks like they are steering from the lee hull.

has seen another image where the wheel is on the other hull - can this be detached and placed on other/whichever hull?

Not sure they'd want to detach a wheel and re-attach it while sailing unless the OR budget has been severely cut back.

Just a WAG, one for each side.

OR 72 just left the dock...none breeze on South Bay and light NE on Central Bay...should fill in about 3:30 4:00

will they still be out? I dunno...

So that counts as one of their 25 days? Must not be too worried about it....

Artemis and Oracle 72 vs 72 Day 2

Screaming back to the barn in 15 knots Oracle Racing ignites the turbo thrusters...

The day began with easterly zephyrs but gave way to more spring like thermal winds once the inner valleys warmed up.

With the ACEA video boat and numerous spectator chase boats in pursuit, a 2 plus hour Artemis vs Oracle
side show...ranging mostly from Yellow Bluff to YRA 10. ( You SA slackers are just gonna have to look it up)

Winds picked up 1:30 ish, at least enough for the big cats to utilize the flood to gain speed,
up hill speed was slow, but off wind in 10-12 they showed they are not dependant on stiff winds

The boats even ventured out the gate briefly, photo ops and all

Watching on the St Francis YC race cam, it appeared that Artemis kept up for the most part
on some of the downhill runs, even though she was not completely flying her leeward hull.

At one point there had to be 20 chase boats following the parade...crazy...
