today was a CRAZY day with at least three classes of sailboat races in progress when the three AC72s of ETNZ, LR and Artemis came out. some of them immediately went north or way east after an initial run through the boat traffic to get away to clear waters. after an hour it seemed all disappeared but after an hour ETNZ came out again shortly to practice then took off for the rest of the day. there were a few close calls: artemis with both a red & white tour boat and the America replica, and the others had their moments too. LR as usual was the first to depart the stage. saw one very nice super-yacht sailing all white & red hull two masts

South Bay Saturday, August 3 2013...just another ho-hum day on the South Bay!
(oh, yeah, Artemis was lighting it up along with ETNZ!)

Drop Something Sir Ben?
He who breaks last, wins!!! The game of attrition continues. Yesterday's two boat match up with the Oracle Twins was also reduced to a 1 boat affair when the rudder post on Ben's AC 72 parted ways with the rest of the boat. If all the other boats
break, does Artemis become the winner by default?

here's a very interesting article about the helmsman's streering wheel versus the previously used tiller... it explains a lot to me but you guys probably already knew about its use(s)
