According to an article just published at Sail Revolution.com, the GGYC has been named in a $4.2 million dollar merchandising dispute by the plantiff, Gameday Merchandising International, LLC. The GGYC as the host for the 34th America's Cup is named as defendant because the ACEA will possibly dissolve after the Cup ends, but the GGYC will remain. Apparently the dispute is over the merchandising rights of America's Cup branded swag like hats, tee shirts etc, which was ultimately given to Pirates Lair instead.
