With every major swell, there's always a moment that ends up defining it. And yesterday, we found that moment amidst the US' west coast run of XL swell that's been rifling in for days. Peter Mel took off on one of the best waves ever ridden at Maverick's – and that is no exaggeration. This is the fruition of decades out there, frosty water, full suit, it is a testament to Pete's dedication and sheer strength of will (plus raw talent) to huck into something so flawless.
