      You could dive in and wrap the prop with a plastic bag with a tether and accomplish the same thing.

        The West Coast distributor for this thing has been calling me for months, trying to get me to take a unit as a demo for my customers. I considered it, but honestly, I don't see a need for it here in the Bay Area (or anywhere in California.) It may be useful in regions of low fouling (like the PNW) where running gear will foul long before the hull does, but here, you gotta have your hull cleaned frequently enough that dicking around with the Prop Pak just doesn't make much sense.
