      Alain Thébault's team to gain some offshore experience this year

      Following her relaunch this week, Alain Thébault's French foiler trimaran, the world's fastest boat l’Hydroptère will set sail at the end of May towards Cowes, where she is due to be berthed over 31 May-4 June. The flying trimaran will then head on to Kiel in Germany, where she will attend Kieler Woche over 18-27 June.

      Following this l’Hydroptère will head back to her home port of La Trinité-sur-Mer carry out a quick intermediate technical check-up before a long delivery trip to the Mediterranean, where both absolute sailing speed records have been achieved in 2009. l’Hydroptère will stay
      there until mid-October and will be present for the Voiles de Saint-Tropez over 25 September-3 October

      With plans afoot to create a new l’Hydroptère aimed at sailing offshore so this season will provide Alain Thébault and his team the change sail in various offshore conditions
