Situated not far from the ancient Roman Stronghold of Salona, Croatia the boat building phenom, Salona Yachts, incorporates in its name the strength, durability and lasting history of a town originally formed in the first millennium BCE. One part of the multinational company AD Plastik and the Prevent Group, Salona Yachts built their business model upon a strong history of development and integrity with the launch of their Salona 45 and subsequent launchings of their 40 and 37 foot models.

By 2008 the company expanded into the Maestral line of inflatable boats, introduced the Salona 42 and 34 foot models and today boasts the arrival of the stunningly modern Salona 60 along with the sleek and attractive Salona 33 while at the same time building the popular and competitive Sydney 43.
The Salona Yachts Manufacturing philosophy involves a process that is meticulously developed and controlled by their Research and Development department. From the tooling of the molds and throughout the entire build process this team focuses their energies on insuring the quality of the layup and the overall quality of the build process is up to the high standards the company requires for a product that will wear the name, Salona Yachts.

Designed and constructed with a fully integrated stainless steel grid system the Salona Yacht is structurally bullet proof. We’re not talking about a small grid around the keel but one that extends the length of the salon incorporating not only the loads of the keel and keel stepped mast but integrates the loads of the shrouds through the stainless steel arms extending up each side of the boat. This extensive stainless steel grid system is integral in creating the stiff and structurally solid boat that Salona Yachts delivers throughout the world.

Combing the load spreading qualities of the stainless steel grid system, the manual layup process and strategic placement of carbon reinforcement with the vacuum infused resin process and watertight fore and aft bulkheads Salona Yachts creates a vessel destined to be rated as a class A offshore sailboat. Then Salona Yachts takes the build process one step further! The underbody is built with a clear gelcoat as the outer layer. Once out of the mold the entire underbody can be inspected for any voids in the build process and potentially fixed before barrier coats and bottom paint is applied. Salona Yachts is taking the philosophy of building a structurally sound vessel to an entirely new level in modern boat building history.

For the discerning sailor that wants to take this amazing build process one step further in order to optimize their new boat for speed and the inevitable need to win on the race course Salon Yachts offers the IBC upgrade.
• I for Infusion – Salona will use vacuum infusion blending different glass structures and resin quality to give you just the right combination of lightness and strength to enhance the performance of the boat
• B for Basalt – Salona will incorporate this super light and strong bulkhead material to giving you increased tortional rigidity to the internal structure of the boat. The lighter and stiffer the boat is the faster she’ll go around the course!
• C for Carbon – Salona will use carbon fiber to build your rudder foil, mast, boom and spinnaker pole to ensure lightness and strength. This high tech combination will go far towards podium results on the race course.
