An important step in the construction of the trimaran MACIF took place that day. The central hull - 30 meters long - has been transferred from the Multiplast yard to yard CDK Keroman. The wide load, 37 meters long, has less than 2 hours to safely travel between Vannes and Lorient. The centerpiece of the future giant MACIF seas will wait now to final assembly expected in H1 2015 for a launch planned during the summer of 2015.
In 2013, the Macif Group announced its continued commitment to racing and began construction of a 100-foot multihull, which will be skippered by Francois Gabart on the period 2015-2019. With the new 100-foot trimaran MACIF, the emblem of Macif Solidarité Sea program, Macif is positioned at the forefront of the competition and still carries the highest values of solidarity advocated by the Group.
