RIO 52 Gets Closer

Mean while at Cooksons in New Zealand, Frank Slootman's Pac 52' Invisible Hand also near completion,
and is due to splash in several weeks and undergo sea trials in January.... stay tuned

Latest word from Dubai is boat should arrive stateside April 5th then get trucked to San Diego, with expected delivery * April 10th.

The RIO Has Landed



Manouch Moshayedi's Pac 52' RIO just landed in the USA. The vessel was transported from Premier Composites in Dubai
to Newark New Jersey and loaded on a semi. She now begins an arduous 2,754 mile over land road trip to Mission Bay, San Diego
where she will join her stablemates, FOX, Invisible Hand and Bad Pak. Each boat will be measured and issued the class certificates
and then the fun begins in just over a month with the 1st event, SDYC's Yachting Cup May 5th through 7th....

And The Shrink Wrap Comes Off



During her lengthy cross country road trip, the shrink wrap covering RIO PAC52' became compromised,
and by the time they reached Stanton Tennessee, the flapping had begun and it was time to disrobe
the girl and show off her pretty undersides. RIO will continue her westward odyssey and is expected to arrive in San Diego
sometime Saturday evening! If you see her passing by or stopped at you local SONIC, grab a frame and send it HERE!

Mission Bay Arrival



The 4th member of the Pac 52 Class, Manouch Moshayedi's RIO has arrived at Driscoll's Marine in Mission Bay.

Held up in Arizona over the weekend due to that states wide load rules which prohibit same on certain highways on weekends,
the boat had to take a 2 day powder and resume its homeward migration on Monday.

The crews on the 52's are working feverishly on getting kelp cutters and BAD Pak and Rio still need to be measured. With Yachting Cup just over 3 weeks
out there is little time to waste.
