    Dead Man's Island 360

Come join us for the third annual Dead Man's Island 360. Traditionally this has been a Laser regatta, but the more classes and sailors the merrier. Come challenge yourself with a break from the typical dinghy race, with our emphasis being on hosting a fun, exciting, and safe event.

Battle your way upwind in some of the most challenging conditions Puget Sound can offer. As you traverse approximately 13 miles of race course, you are sure to run the gamut of sailing emotions and be pushed to your physical limit. If the breeze and chop of Henderson Bay aren't enough, you also have to navigate around several wrecks and sandbars. Perhaps the biggest challenge is figuring out just how close you should round the island.

The payoff for surviving the upwind beating is the sled ride home, with plenty of surfing and planing in store. The wide shores and long fetch provide some of the finest downwind conditions around. If you can feel your face after you round the windward mark, you're guaranteed to be grinning ear to ear after you make the turn. This year the Race Committee will also reserve the right to run a series of short course races prior to the DMI 360 Classic, depending on the conditions, just in case you're looking a little too fresh or smug!

Though the relatively shallow depth of Henderson Bay produces slightly less shocking water temperatures, wetsuits or dry suits are encouraged, so please dress warm and come prepared. The Beach Brunch will be served mid-morning, prior to the Skipper's Meeting, and is covered in the entry fee. One more reason to come!
