Dear Members,
Along with all the clubs in NSW, the pubs and the restaurants we closed our doors on 23rd March. 2020.
We have been operating continually as a club since 1961 serving our members. We have also been promoting 18 Footer racing on the harbour which has been a consistent sight on the harbour for 85 years. It was pleasing therefore to be able to race the J.J. Giltinan World Championship before this virus shut us down. The only years it has not been raced were 1940-1948 due to the outbreak of war.
As with many other businesses we have cut our costs as far as possible and we have put the club into hibernation mode. You can still contact us if required on admin@18footers.com and we will respond although I do ask for your patience.
We will be putting out our club membership renewal requests in due course and although the club remains closed at this time we want to be able to survive this crisis and come back stronger.
I therefore encourage you to renew your annual membership or take up our 10 year membership offer if your situation allows.
By standing together as members we can pull the club through this tumultuous time.
We deeply appreciate your support and look forward to the day we emerge from this situation and reopen for business.
