What will people whine about this year?

Some people will whine about everything and anything.

I like the entry fee relative to the CYC Mac. I recall a couple of years ago when filling out the post race survey, one of the questions was "would you be willing to pay a higher entry fee in order for all competitors to have a race tracker. My answer was no. I lost. They also eliminated the skippers gift. There, that's my whining and now I'm done.

What are you on? I'll be dropping across from Meldrum Bay to Cheboygan on Sunday or Monday. Would it be against NOR if I floated a growler your way and posted "beer drop" on your GPS?

In the Cruising Class? Pretty sure those kind of shenanigans are encouraged.

hope we do long course, hate to have people think that the J120 is a cruiser. not up to me though, the decision is on the owners

I lost my favorite hat over the side while doing a sail change once and the skipper would not go back for it.

It would be awesome to see people drop the selfish personal agendas and go back to racing sailboats because they love racing sailboats. Probably a greater chance of seeing peace in the Middle East though.

DD, I am on a brewery owner's boat for the race. Beer supply is most definitely not going to be a problem. You may want the growler drop the other way.

                      Thanks on the shirt.

I think the "Have it your way" format of this year is better then the "Obama race" format a couple years back that ended up with Cove being ORR and IRC and thus not enough boats in either to create decent rating bands/divisions.
Zipped, I couldn't understand doing all the prep work, delivery to PH, etc. to do what would end up being just an extended overnight race on a J120, which is what the shore course would be, to only then incur the expense of the island and the delivery time and efforts to get back home. But then again, I have seen many weird things that don't make much sense.

The shore course is boring. sure it's nice to get to the island before the harbor fills up but there isn't much to that race tactically.

That was definitely a train wreck.

Politics, ego, and selfishness. A typical case of a few doing their best to muck things up for everybody else.

Wind Toy should be put back together for this years race. Rumor has it she'll have a shiny new green deck.
