  • Sails Of Change For Spindrift Racing

After nearly a year in the shipyard, the maxi trimaran has left the hangar in Vannes this afternoon, under the colours of @sailsofchange.
It’s a new page in Spindrift’s story, which now shares and carries its values, one more action among the many undertaken over the past years
by the founders Dona Bertarelli and Yann Guichard as well as the team.

Message from our skipper Yann Guichard: "Having contracted COVID -19, I am disappointed that I can’t be there with the Spindrift team for our maxi trimaran’s launch.
Well done and thank you to all the team for your hard work! I can’t wait to be back!"

Today marks the end of several months in the shipyard for our maxi trimaran, where all of Spindrift’s technical team have been mobilised to optimise the boat.
Structural and aerodynamic changes have been made alongside a fresh design - the fleet’s flagship boat will set out under new colours to carry the message of Sails of Change

A Break In Training For Spindrift

Since the maxi was launched a month ago, Yann Guichard's #spindrift team has carried out several training outings off Brittany.
These confirmed the modifications made during the construction site, and strengthened the team in the choices made.

At the end of the last training session, a minor technical problem was found in the maxi-trimaran propeller shaft.
The boat has been making a short dry stop since this morning and for 2 weeks, not interfering with the training program.
The return to water is scheduled between June 11 and 14, and will be refined according to the weather conditions.
