When they start confusing Cal 20's with ships, somebody needs to contact the copy editor with book of clues.

Looks to me like someone unloaded a “Can –O- Whoop Ass” on the San Mateo Bridge!!!

Sorry but someone had to say it

"it took on water and appeared to sink beneath the bridge... The owner was informed about the situation and plans to use a smaller vessel to reach the sailboat and bring it back to shore ..."
            Uh huh.

No rudder or tiller, mainsail covered, hatches look locked. Was it moored off one of the peninsula harbors and broke loose in the wind?

Do the harbor masters still move perpetual delinquents in rent off the dock and tether them to an anchor these days?

WOW ,,, No it wasn't me ,,, although the Can has hit a few things ,just never a bridge
and NEVER while I was on the tiller.

The grey seats is ringing a bell ....Ted Goldbecks Cal20 perhaps... or maybe John Neudabooms ? (sp) ...

It is unfortunate that it sank though ,but with enough ping pong balls they can get her up again !

                  Beer Pong anyone ?

                  -P

Every once in awhile someone anchors off of Sierra Point - always looks suspect. We did have a bit of weather the last few days. Not sure if this one was one of those boats.

It's going to take more than a sinking bridge to keep a CAL 20 down. It's the boat that never dies. I saw one dropped from the hoist at Richmond - bounce off the dock below, rolled into the water and was out racing sameday, like nothing every happened.
