    What about husband-wife?
A little disorganization goes a long way toward fun sailing.

I mentioned that last night... The look I got leads me to be she isn't inclined...

      "Uh, yes"

Calypso (1971 C&C 43) will be participating for our 4th NC-100 this year, fully crewed.

We did our first NC-100 double-handed and frankly, pushing an old C&C 43 around that course double-handed put the fun meter below our minimum allowed value. This year we will have a mix of experienced and less experienced crew, some out on their first overnight race.

I read a comment about the finish line moving back to the "original" location. We sailed the first NC-100 and IIRC the finish line was off a park/point and not particularly easy to spot at night. Anybody have advanced knowledge (pre race instruction) if this is where the 2013 finish line will be?

From the AYC website blog: "This year the finish will be a line between the boat ramp at Washington Park and the red buoy directly North."

Thinking back, the first year the finish line was near the marina (Skyview?), the second year off the park. We did not sail the 2011 NC-100 as Calypso was cruising around Vancouver Island and missed 2012 owing to business commitments.

Calypso is now registered as Fully Crewed and looking forward to the 2013 event.

What is this year's dinner plan? Buffet / brown bag with pay at the door tickets or should we pre-pay once the crew count is determined?

How long does it take to set-up the tracking device?

any anacortes racers have a lead on a place to store some cruising gear/sails for the weekend near cap sante? we'll be just coming off two weeks in the san juans and won't have room in the car to put it all.

              can't wait to race!

Might be able to help you out.. We're in a similar situation, but we will be swapping crew for the race... So we plan to offload some stuff in the minivan and have it travel back and forth to Kirkland... How much stuff are we talking about?

thanks, i sent you a PM. preference is for a local drop site, but some van space may be a great option.

Sure.. It would be kind of the AYC to help out with this.

                      Over 30 boats registered....
Doesn't seem to be too much interest in the Double Handed 50...
We practiced short handed spinnaker launches and takedowns over the weekend.
Figure we'll do OK if there is a bit of wind, but not so much that we get passed up by a bunch of planing SC27s!
