    Still in the development stage, the Anacortes Sailing Society has introduced a new long distance tour de force starting in Tacoma, Washington,
    sailing north through Puget Sound, with a stop in Seattle/Shilshole, continuing north to Port Townsend and finally entering Strait of Juan de Fuca and west to Victoria BC. 3 Days of sailing with in port festivities nightly and an amazing party at the end!

    Race Dates: June 28 -30

      What are the prevailing winds like at that time of year?

        Norweasterly, occasionally gusting from somewhere else. North wind on the ebb, followed by southerly on the flood .

          heh, yah... Puget Sound and the Pacific NW are not ever particularly windy, but at least June is more likely to have wind than July and August. If we start early in the day, we'll get a little push from outgoing tide as well. Generally 5-15 kts, from a few different directions as you wind your way up the sound, and day 3 in the Straits is usually a great time! An awesome reach in the prevailing Westerly... We keep hammering out the details. Stay tuned!
