It is properly spelled (spelt!) as it is the:

1. "Trade Name" (as opposed to a generic drug); and

2. befok (cool) South African spelling...

I owned a bright red J/33 for awhile with the intentionally-misspelled name TROUBADOR. The reason for the misspelling was kind of boring and superstitious. More interesting was the hailing port: Graceland.

The PO's next boat was an Express 37 with the same name and hailing port:
It's been for sale for awhile and it's a good one.
