  • 2015 OYRA Duxship

Stumbled upon the fleet returning from the Duxship. Took some nice snappies of all the boats, me thinks...

Looks like there might be a tale of two to tell?

The Iniscaw photo certainly must have some teeth to it.

Don't worry, I was hollering at myself plenty. It's too bad, I was having a good race. Even led That Pesky Wyliecat to Duxbury buoy.

I like using terms like "You stupid mother f%#*er" when arguing with myself.

          I find it calming.

Max, We were watching you and feeling for you. Been there singlehanded; don't want to be there again! Of course our feelings were sort of selfish since we really wanted you to be ahead of Phil at the finish line. Speaking of the finish line, sailing around/through that pack of racing wind surfers was one of the more interesting StFYC finishes I can remember. Mixed in with the foiling kite boarders they were like buzzing around like a bunch of colorful bees. Hey Photoboy any pictures of a white hulled Wyliecat finishing? Thanks to Nancy and the SBYC folks for hosting a great DuxShip this year!

Thanks! I rarely look at the front page; an old Mac and it often takes a long time to load up. Bad admission, I know. I'll slap the back of my hands with a winch hand the next time I'm on the boat. The finish was interesting. Not often I finish at the StFYC on a reach, but avoiding those windsurfers made things difficult. Pat

Are you still using the dial up configuration?

My download speed increased dramatically when I switched to push button from rotary.

Too many Hayes Smartmodems on that one party line in Santa Rosa.

"One ringy-dingy . . . is this the party to whom I am speaking?"

We do hope to get phone service one of these days. In the meantime digital smoke signals have made communication much faster. Only 1 or 2 puffs instead of 26 for a "Z" - but then we don't send "Z" words very much. We use the "smoke signal" code, which is similar to texting. For instance, if I want to contact my friend Bob J. I just smoke text "SA" (for smart ass) and the message gets sent.

Oh, that's what it means! I thought you were trying to get me to visit PB's favorite sailing website.
