On a personal note, it is very sad to report that our good friend and long term BAMA member and officer Randy Devol has crossed the bar. It's hard to believe he's gone.

Randy passed away peacefully on 11/22/15 at El Camino Hospital. Randy is the "behind the scenes" man with many hats. He has served as Race Coordinator and Co/Chairman for BAMA and has run the Double Handed Farallones Race for approximately 14 years. Randy has raced the Hobie Cat Trifoiler, Blade Runner, the F-24 Mk I, Joint Venture and the F-31, Joint Venture.

Thanks Sally and company for the Silver Lining

From NCORC friends specifically OYRA Andy:
          Hi all,

Sally Honey along with many folks that moderate Safety at Sea seminars put together a great textbook for safety at sea.

Safety at Sea Core Topics Handbook

It started as a US Sailing project but US Sailing went off in the direction of videos so Sally finished it on her own with the help of many folks she lists in the credits.

Sally is allowing us to use it freely, but asks that anyone who prints a copy donate $5 to US Sailing to help support future projects of this nature.

          Enjoy.

          Andy

Great! Is there anyone else who'd like to chip in with me and help sponsor another Cal 40 so they'll enter and form an "Old Timer 40" Division? Pat the WyleGuy

I think the Cal 39 would fit in nicely among the 40s. What's a foot more or less among friends? And how about 1 more Moore 24 to give them a division? An example of when more is (1) Moore, not less? - The Wylie Guy
