Blood test and ultra sound revealed serious invasive cancer on various organs.

Playing hospice worker and making him as comfortable as possible...

Sorry to hear about your puppy PB. I'd be lost without my work-from-home office partner sitting next to me.

Does anybody know which way the top boats went on Sunday? We chose CCW which appeared to be the majority opinion and we got nailed in Raccoon Straits. Mid 20's, puffy gusts to 30 with driving rain. A reef and a #4 allowed us to keep racing (sailing, not really racing at that point). By the time we got to Alcatraz there were plenty of boats in front of us and after the spanking we got earlier we decided to skip the spinnaker.

We saw the two boats in the picture coming in after we ducked in to drop crew. Was that the extent of the carnage? We heard at least one boat on the radio about a lost rig, not sure if it was this boat or another. Based on the conditions out there it could have been much worse.

Regarding lost rigs.....

Heading home to Alameda, just outside Clipper Cove there was a Melges 24 motoring south with their broken mast strapped to the deck. We sailed over to them to see if they needed any assistance, but they declined.

We went CCW, and got hammered entering Raccoon. Being pelted in the face with hail while sailing on the Bay was something new. Protective eye ware was mandatory.
