Good to see many of you racers Wed night. Huge thanks to Terry and Richard for the work on Shirts, Awards, Trophies and to Leo for hosting and to all the volunteers who make the DHF happen!
Great response to the new format by those familiar with DHF.
https://www.jibeset.net/BAMA000.php?RG=T008102230
To encourage OD entries and entries in the 3 new races DHBL "Race to the Sea", DHG7 "Race to the Bar", DHWB " Race to the Weather Buoy / LaneSplitter Race". We are extending early fee of $60 to Friday 2/17 and adding an introductory fee $65 to Sat. 2/25. The 3 new races have reduced eligibility and equipment requirements appropriate for these shorter races lowering the barrier for those wanting to explore DH ocean races. Updated "Overview" of courses, equipment, education (No SAS), eligibility at
https://www.jibeset.net/show.php?RR=...DOC=X2&TYP=pdf
Also the "Pre-Skippers meeting" had very good attendance. If you have an event at your club where a 5-10 min overview (more or less) would be of interest, let me know! Richmond? Tiburon? Santa Cruz? SF? Alameda?
Cheers
Bob

Time to start talking about the weather?
Hopefully everyone has been keeping up with the readings- basic and venue. See Overview or SI
For those entered and not yet approved, please update your registrations- the more complete it is, the better when we open it up to the CG for review.
Skippers meeting this Wed at Oakland YC. VTS, SF Bar Pilots, and Sector SF Command center DSC Demo- bring your VHF Handheld (and review owner's manual!).
cheers

No need to talk about weather , each individual boat deals with different wind (weather) at different points along the course at different times....you know what they say about forecasts ? Every one of then has a Crack ...... ( or something like that )....
