Notice a pattern, here? The official notice went out from the Harbormasters office before the 3BF that the last remaining hoist is "broken" and it will take "a few weeks" to fix it. This when A.) when the pressure was put on and the City Council got involved, they got it fixed in a week and a half and B.) they could buy a completely new 3 ton hoist (just the motor/chain/wiring...not the jib crane) and have it on site in about two days. Give it another to have an electrician wire it up.

COULD Pacific Shops dredge? Sure. They'd have to apply for permits and pay for it, but sure. WILL they? Hell no. Polands plan, obviously, is to claim everything is falling apart, never do any maintenance and when something does break, point at it and say "see? The place is falling apart, I need hundreds of millions of dollars to fix this and the only way to get it is to let me build 400 townhouses"....

Dredging costs money..plenty of it. Why would he do that? He wants the yard CLOSED and the boats GONE if at all possible.

The owner's C&C 30 is on a trailer at Alameda Marina (as was his J/90), he's always been a Doyle customer, etc.

I'm glad to see him support the facility.

Why are they commissioning at Alameda instead of one of the bigger yards like KKMI?
