Onboard Express 37 Eclipse
BAMA Doublehanded Farallones Race last Sat 9/19. Out of 10 trips out there, this was my favorite. All about the S’s on Saturday...Sunfishes (saw 2!), Sunny all day, Sailed with #1 up the whole race In 19-23 K winds, Surfing sleigh-ride back to GG8! Who cares that the wind died down at Pt. Bonita! We finished strong at 9:33 pm & couldn’t be happier. We sailed well, placed well & laughed a lot
The 2020 BAMA Double Handed Farallones was held on Saturday, September 19th, nearly 6 months late, due to the Pandemic that reeked havoc on near every sailing event world wide.
But better late than never, and with a bit of nostalgia mixed in, the start was relocated to Baker Baker, where the race was started from decades ago. And still honoring pandemic protocols,'
the dedicated BAMA shore crew was committed to work outside the confine of the GGYC, the usual host for the event.
