On Saturday, the GGYC was holding their March edition of their Manuel Fagundes Seaweed Soup regatta, sharing the same area as the the StFYC's match racing event, California Dreaming. Both events managed to get started before noon, but the wind waned and the match race went into a holding pattern for some time... The breeze finally backed to the west allowing the match racing series to resume, ( the midwinters slowed but had continued racing)

As the 1st flight was in the box performing the the prestart dance thing they do, in a very confined area between the signal vessel and the small orange buoy seen here, a couple midwinter boats who will not be named, though nothing of sailing right through the box... Unclear of which (if any) rules were violated but common courtesy would suggest that they could have easily sailed around the box in question...
Thoughts?
