    How do I weasel a ride on Akela?

    A couple years ago, they auctioned off a ride for Big Brothers and Big Sisters.

    It was a beat in fog, not sure how it went. We'll see if it is applicable this year.

              Entry # 14 dropped out as of last night. They have also dropped out of BBS and a few friends are looking for rides if anyone has leads please let me know.

                    Nah, I'm hanging out locally with the Finns. This is one hell of a regatta, and it's a 3 minute bike ride.

                      ...dense fog over the coastal waters through friday morning...

                      Dense fog has been reported over the coastal waters with visibility
                      below 1/2 mile. This low visibility will continue through the night
                      and into friday morning. The dense fog is mainly along the coast
                      from santa cruz southward to point piedras blancas out beyond 60
                      miles. And...dense fog is located more than 10 miles offshore from
                      santa cruz to point reyes and extends out beyond 60 miles.

                      The dense fog with visibility below 1/2 mile will expand to the
                      coast from point reyes southward overnight and cover the entire
                      coastal waters from point reyes to point piedras blancas out beyond
                      60s miles through friday morning.

                      Mariners should remain within their limitations when navigating in
                      dense fog.

                        DENSE FOG WILL CONTINUE OVER THE COASTAL WATERS THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING. OTHERWISE...A LOW PRESSURE TROUGH HAS SHIFTED TO ALONG THE CALIFORNIA COAST AS HIGH PRESSURE WEAKENED OVER THE NORTHERN PACIFIC OCEAN. THIS HAS RESULTED IN LIGHT WINDS OVER THE COASTAL WATERS. THE HIGH PRESSURE WILL STRENGTHEN THROUGH THE WEEKEND ALLOWING MODERATELY STRONG NORTHWEST WINDS TO RETURN.

                            Sound like a fun but not so fast race.........Just glad to wash the stink of land off and sail with a great group of friends..........Oh -ea some rum at the end of an extra da- off with the same group + more!!......... B/4 m- wife and kids pick me up for a 3 da- weekend of -ard work.....

                              Dense fog out there this AM and nary a breath of wind.

                              HMB Buoy showing wsw at 1.9 knots with gust to 3.9!

                              Last week was 25-30 NW!
                              " I just found out my nest egg has salmonella"
