With the video and live coverage it may almost be as good as SA OTW coverage .

thank god SA is not involved.

Trees not trimmed. But no worries, the antennas were moved. did a signal check the other day from the new antenna farm and all is good. To be noted, live video for RBBS will be shot only from the race deck. For the Melges 32 Worlds it will be on the water. Watching the Giants kick ass right now as I get ready to turn on the 'live' version of the RBBS web site. Chris Love from Sailgroove is shooting the live video. It will be featured on his site - www.sailgroove.com and on the home page of www.rolexbigboatseries.com.

Club was full tonite, all in good spirit! Looking forward to a great day of racing tomorrow!

                        A lesson in contrast

I know what you are thinking:

But *p-boy, where is all the hott melgi on melgi action?

We did manage to get some shots, when we could see them...but literally they came out of the fog, most of them sporting the white kites which made picking them out, next to impossible....

Fortunately we had the mighty Media's International Pennant showing so everyone was cautious and courteous and gave us a wide berth...

The aftermath of " hott melgi on melgi action"

A tough day for the Melges 32 Goombay Smash who suffered damage during a T-bone incident with Team Barbarians at the weather mark in the first race of the day. Repairs however are well along and we'll see her back tomorrow.

They gave you a wide berth because it was the first time that your driver had driven a power boat in 8 years...LOL.

We were going to try jumping into the water at the leeward gate to record Melgi keel sounds... because we know some of you guys get off on that shit; but the water out here is frigging cold, visibility is about 3' at best, the water was only 7' deep, not leaving much room between the probable diver (me) and the bottom of the Melgi keel, and the possibility that I would have stumbled across Lacy Peterson's head, which would have caused me to scream like a Hobbit and drown. So we passed on it.
