The Gold and Silver were all but decided heading into her medal race, but the fight for bronze was among five boats. The Allianz Sailing World Championships got off to a flying start in The Hague with strong Italian, American and Spanish showings.

The result was in doubt until the final moments of leg 6, with 11th Hour Racing Team along with Team Holcim-PRB and Team Malizia racing within shouting distance of each other during most of Sunday morning.
