The 2022 Full Crew Farallones Race departed San Francisco Bay on Saturday June 4th with 24 boats in 5 divisions in much more tranquil conditions than would have occurred back in early spring, where gales and 9' plus swells engulfed the Gulf of the Farallones on a regular basis. Dave MacEwans's Rodgers 46' Lucky Duck sustained a Massive Sail reduction during Monday's Coastal Cup, the 2nd leg in the California Offshore Race Week
"Just got to San Simeon cove after breaking our mast on the Coastal Cup .
In a 36 knot puff stuck the bow down the shaft hard and the rig went over the bow .. all are safe .
In morning we will try to get fuel out to us so we can power down to Morro bay in morning.
Update boat in cove is giving us 10 gallons... -
